Alena Popchanka travelled directly from the Gold Coast training camp to the French Short Course Championships, and improved her personal best in winning the 400m in the time of 4:00.80. Alena also finished third in the 50 free (25.11), second in the 50 fly (26.60) and 100 fly (58.80).

Alena is now travelling to Dubrecen (HUN) for the European Short Course Championships.
