Alena Popchanka swam 3 finals on day 2 at the Coupe de France in Chamalieres. She came second to Laure Manaudou in the 200 free in the time of 1:58.82, she also won the same evening the 100 fly in 1:00.01 and the 50 fly in 27.25, both in new meet records.

Michael Jamieson, who missed his flight connection to France due to the crash landing in Heathrow on Thursday, swam only on day 2. He came second in the final of the 200 breast with a strong 2:20.21, and later on Michael came 4th in the 200 IM final in 2:07.52.

Dave Leith got the third place in the B fnal of the 100 free in the time of 53.11. He swam 52.94 in the morning heats.

The trio will race again in Chamalieres on Sunday, before a long drive to Font Romeu to meet the CES squad. The team is taking part in a 2 weeks altitude training camp.
