Kris Gilchrist lowered his own British Record for the 200m Breaststroke in the semi final this morning to finish in a time of 2:10.27 but unfortunately that time was not fast enough to progress through to the final and Kris finished in 13th place.

Later on in the heats Gregor Tait secured his place in the semi final of the 200m Backstroke in 1:57.03 and Alena Popchanka lead the French 4 x 200m Freestyle team to an Olympic Record and a lane 4 start in the final of the event tomorrow morning.

A very diappointed Kisty Balfour swam 2:27.87 in the 200m Breaststroke missing a place in the semi finals.
