Joint camp, 12 May 2007

City of Edinburgh Swimming to share training with Loughborough squad.

Ben Titley, the national women's coach, and Fred Vergnoux, City of Edinburgh Swimming head coach, will run a 1 week training camp in Loughborough, from the 13th to the 19th of May.

Loughborough swimmers:
Caitlin MacClatchey, Julia Beckett, Kate Haywood, Liam Tancock, Chris Watkinson.

Edinburgh swimmers:
Kirsty Balfour, Alena Popchanka, Robyn Mattews, Megan Gilchrist, Kris Gilchrist and Gregor Tait.

Team manager: Helen Murray.

"The idea is to share the sessions and put the key swimmers together" explain Vergnoux. "Ben and myself will be working together on deck while the swimmers will have a new experience during this general cycle in May. It's a great opportunity to have our best swimmers train head to head"

In the meantime, Rob Lang and John Owen are still in Arizona for a training camp with the 4x200 freestyle group.
