2007 Japan International Meet - Chiba

Gilchrist-Tait duo claimed medals on Day 3 at the Chiba International meet.

In the final of the 200m breaststroke, Kris Gilchrist came second to Olympic Champion Kitajima in the time of 2:10.32, a British and Commonwealth record. With his performance tonight, Gilchrist moved into the top five all time !

Earlier in the evening, Gregor Tait came third in the final of the 200m backstroke, in the time of 1:58.86, improving his season best time from the 2007 World Championships.

The medal duo will race the 200 IM on day 4.

Kirsty Balfour came second in the B final of the 200m breaststroke. With the time of 2:27.87 she concluded her 2006-2007 season with solid performances following a great training camp in Osaka. Kirsty achieved her best result on the world stage when she won the silver medal at the 2007 World Championships earlier in March.
