After a steady start on Day 1 with all 4 swimmers qualifying for the finals in their specialist events, City of Edinburgh Swimmers stepped up the pace today on Day 2 to pick up 3 bronze medals.

Alena Popchanka lowered her heat time to take 3rd place in the 400m Freestyle in 4:05.93. Gregor Tait followed with a bronze in his favourite 200m Backstroke after having competed in the final of the 200IM where he finished 5th in a time of 2:00.37. European Champion Kirsty Balfour completed the hat trick with her medal in the 200m Breaststroke in a time of 2:25.03. Kris Gilchrist lowered his heat time in the 100m Breaststroke to 1:01.63 to take 7th place.

The squad now moves on to Canberra to train and compete in the AIS Championships (50m) next week.
